Minutes from the meeting 10/12/17

  • Recap of successful back to school night. Happy with the number of parent involvement and student volunteers

  • Looking for ways to get students more involved and track their positive results from their service

  • Working with the National Honor Society to offer Free tutoring to students that need help during our SGC and PTSO meetings (parents must attend meetings for students to rec. free tutoring)

  • Fundraising updates – Pie sales $0.00 so far. Please start selling and getting those orders in. Asking family’s to donate pumpkin pies to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission (Our goal is to donate a min of 150 pies) Last year we sold approx. 130 pies total making  $680.00. Our goal is to double that.

  • Pie fundraiser ends Oct 23rd, Pies will need to be picked up at the school by parents on Nov 20th. Carissa will have an online volunteer signup available Nov 1st to help distribute pies

  • Pie order forms and donation order forms can be found on the PTSO page of the FCW website

  • Chocolate Fundraiser starts  Nov 1 ends Nov 21st Chocolate pick up date on Dec 11th

  • Stop & Shop A+ rewards Coordinators are: Tara Bullen sunshine0178@yahoo.com & Katie Paulson k80paul@gmail.com . They will track monthly participation totals and $ earned. Please email them with other business rewards programs

  • College News Update Coordinator Mary Platero marylp@optonline.net  will work with guidance counselors and post info on our PTSO page found on the FCW website.

  • Approx. 20 chaperones are needed for the Great Debate (at Webster Arena)on Friday 10/20, buses leave FCW at 830am and leave the arena to head back to school at 12:45

  • If you haven’t attended Coffee & with your principal you are missing out. They will try to hold them monthly.. keep a look out for their email

 

We are excited for a successful school year.. please join our committees, meetings, events and fundraisers… We are in this together and working towards the same goal OUR CHILDREN
